Garston Farm Sleepover

The boys from the Blue Smoke squadron thought one last fly-out was necessary before the first cool winds of winter blew in

With much planning, Smokers 1, 3 and 5 were to fly-out on a Friday and overnight.

Smoker 4 would fly out on Saturday morning.

With the weather set fair, our 3 intrepid aviators in their Avid, Kitfox and Twinstar set forth on their trip to Garston Farm some 60 miles from Popham.

After their arrival and with time to spare, a quick fuel stop to Oaksey Park ensued.

Back to Garston to pitch tents and have a barbecue before wandering down a footpath to find some fluid at the local pub

This photo shows the Smokers generating a little more smoke.

What a setting for an evening Barbie!!!!

Saturday, after a mild night under canvas, the smokers awaited the arrival of Smoker 4 in his VW Fred. Smoker 2 (who had family commitments ) wished Smoker 4 bon voyage at Popham in the early morning sunshine.

After the arrival of Smoker 4 a fry up breakfast was had before all flew out to Weston Zoyland.

Question. Just how did they pack all that kit into their aircraft?

After this Chris and Martin returned while Foxy and Ian came back on a more leisurely route.

Until next year................
